I started noticing the ones that defined are usually (but not always) more lean/muscular instead of super thin.

I see this a lot with the lower half of the back with deeply defined spines.

Sometimes the top half either doesn't show at all or has that smoothed over shape on top (except the very very top where it starts at the neck and is deeply defined there just like the bottom)

Quote from: Death Dealer on March 02, 2021, 11:01:38 AMMe? I love the casual open back looks, seeing a girl walking around what looks like a t-shirt, or sweater, etc..looks so plain and generic from the front and turns around or passes by  :o holy shit her back is exposed to get your jaw dropped

some pic examples

this design is made to murder back lovers like us, since they can wear this anywhere without a party, formal setting like the infamous backless gowns

Before the pandemic 2 years ago in a supermarket there was this one girl who had a top just like this one

standing in line behind her, watching her unload her groceries watching her back and spine like watching a engine moving LMAO...

There was a girl at a fundraiser wearing one of those backless shirts and made me think of this.

She had perfect smooth tanned skin and when I saw her from the front when she walked in, but I just thought she was wearing a normal long sleeved white shirt that really went well with her complexion.

Well I was at the next table over and saw from the corner of my eye when she sat down facing away that most of her back was exposed. It stood out because of her smooth tanned skin contrasting with the tight white shirt.

Not even just that, I also caught a glimpse of what looked like something lighter colored around the middle of her back.

So I turned to get a better look and saw it was like this:

There was nothing covering any part of her back at all, but when she sat down, her spine was pushing out so much that it looked like her tanned skin stretched a bit right at the point of each bump, so the bumps were distinctly more pale compared to the rest of her exposed back.

That, combined with the top down lighting in the room, made her spine stand out so much I think everyone glanced at least once for one reason or another.

I agree with this.

It's just natural that we would notice a girl's spine first. There've been so many times I hear other people commenting on something (good or bad) about a girl and I look and all I see's the definition on the girl's spine.

it happens all the time but it makes sense why...
my first girl found out really fast because it was always what i noticed no matter what she wore or did.
i never heard other people notice. she looked like a thin girl overall so people commented on that in all kinds of ways but no one would say anything specific about her spine except the time we came back from a long subway ride and she showed everyone how there were bruises on the tips of her spine from sitting against those hard seat backs and it made it even more obvious with dark circles accentuating each bone that day. lucky for me that just led to a spine massage that night but thats a different story...

General Back Talk - Spine Fetish Chat / Noticing a girl's spine
Last post by rennybumps - November 01, 2023, 01:38:49 PM
A story about my crush in high school kind of reminded me of a topic I've been thinking about.

I mentioned this in another thread but there was this girl who carried all her weight on her lower body, to the point where other guys made comments about her ass being big and she had thick legs, but her upper body was thinner than anyone could guess. And more than anything, her spine is so defined that there's no padding at all on those spaces between the bumps.

Every summer, she would wear things that bared her upper back only, which was a little bit muscular but depending on her position, you could see a bit of her shoulder blades. Her middle and lower back, which she kept covered most of the time, was the thinnest you could imagine. All ribs and spine. There were times I even questioned how it was just nothing but bone there.

To make things even better, she always sat with a deep slouch. Like this:

(That's not her but that's very close to how she would look in class if you sat behind her)

Anyway, people did make comments every year that she looked like she lost too much weight when summer came around but it got me thinking how often I've seen people focus on other things when all I would notice is a girl's spine.

The one time anyone really specifically talked about her spine was this girl's own sister pointing it out to everyone. She was sitting slouched like she usually did, but it was a summer day and she wore a top that would roll up when she slouched, and her spine was just right there. Her sister started comparing her to horror movie creatures and stuff and even tried to get her to press her spine up against a board to see if it would leave an impression with the bumps. It was the weirdest instance of someone bringing that much attention to it and me just trying my hardest to hide my reaction.

Besides that, the closest anyone really addressed how her spine showed was when they would say it looked like she got too thin only when she wore stuff that showed it more, but that would usually come with comments about seeing her back ribs.

I know it comes with the territory because of how we are but this was a rare instance where it seemed like that much attention was on a girl's spine from other people.

Last month I met this really athletic girl whos spine stuck out the same way. She has the kind of athletic body where she looks very thin but surprisingly packs on a lot of lean muscle, but her spine is 100% bone too.

With all the comments about her, even things like comments from other guys on her ass when she bends over and all I see is how sharp her spine looks, I feel like it's so much more common for other people to just not notice.

But again, I guess it comes with the territory.

Anyway, anybody have similar stories about noticing a girl's spine, and either other people just not noticing or the rare times when a lot of attention was brought to it?

This got me thinking about it more and I'm pretty sure sometimes a very thin girl only does it for me when it feels like it's an indicator that her spine is probably very defined.

I met two girls around the same time with the first one having that bone-thin runway model body type and the other looking more average of a body type at first glance but a really pretty face.

Turns out the model looking one had a type of back where even when she bent over, you see more of the muscle on the sides of the spine and her spine wasn't defined at all and didn't stick out.

The more average looking one you would never guess had the kind with the every bump so defined that you can count them through her shirt and almost feel like questioning how it's the one place on her whole body where it seems to be just 100% skin wrapped on bone.

That second girl turned out to have the kind of body where she carried all her weight on her hips and legs so the kinds of guys who dated her were mostly guys who liked thick / curvy. But when summer came around and she wore stuff that showed her upper body more - even just thinner shirts, people would see her sitting slouched in class and say she's lost too much weight. She barely changed year after year but that was just how her body was.

Reminds me of a whole other story about that girl but I think there's a different thread that would be better for that.

Long story short, the thin model type girl wasn't my first choice. This other one did it for me.

Spine has to be showing for me personally. She can be very curvy in other areas as long as she has a prominent spine.
