when i first saw this pic, I thought her spine was completely in the shadow but if you look at the full-sized version, you can see her spine even in the dark:

a lot of thin asian models dont like to show their spine or have their bones airbrushed, Aki seems to be an exception, thankfully.

I noticed this too. Going by pics of a lot of models, you would think Asian girls always have weirdly filled-in/invisible spines even bending over, but the last two I dated both had really bumpy spines.
