Unexpectedly prominent spines

Starting thinking tonight about how there are times when we expect a girl's spine to stick out a lot but it doesn't and other times when you don't expect it and find out her spine is ridiculously prominent.

Anyone have stories of times you found out about the most unexpectedly prominent spines?

I used to believe gaining muscle always ends up covering the spine... but my roommate in college proved this wrong. She was bi and kept bringing over girls of different shapes and sizes but she always liked playing with their bones. Like poking ribs, grabbing shoulder blades, everything.

One girl who was over every week for a while started getting into weight training and cardio. This was after I had already involuntarily witnessed my roommate openly play with her spine when she was a softer, flabbier medium-thin, at most.

Well, this girl leaned out but also gained a lot of muscle, even on her back, and it was like the muscles maintained a wide opening where her spine was because her spine got even more prominent.

So I'd just casually witness my roommate randomly playing with that girl's spine out in the open, and when she bent over, that girl's spine had gotten so lean that any bit of padding there before... well, it was reduced to nothing but her skin sinking in between the bones.

Not at all what I expected to see, that's for sure.

Joana Heidrich might be the closest I've seen to what hers looked like:

My biggest surprise was less that I didn't think the girls spine sticks out.. It was how much it stuck out.

This girl was thin. No one would be surprised to see a little spine when she bent over.

But one of her friends saw her changing and started making it a running joke to all her friends that her spine looked like in the movie Ginger Snaps when they show a fake spine turning into a werewolf tail.

She was cool about it so she went along with the jokes, even going as far as pulling her own shirt up and bending over to show people. And it was always grossed out reactions and comments that she needs to eat more.

But honestly, I know a lot of us have had our share of disappointing spines on thinner girls.

So this was the polar opposite.

It really stuck out so much that it was hard to avoid looking at it through shirts, let alone when she showed skin.

Even though she started to uncomfortably go along with the jokes, she started wearing really revealing clothes in the summer.

Even when it was colder, she always liked wearing shorter shirts that would show the lower back too, and every time she bent over, it was impossible not to notice bruises on the bumps sometimes.

That friend making it a running joke made it really hard to ignore that the most extreme spine I had ever seen was right there all the time.

There were shadows I didn't know were possible when light hit that spine at an angle.

At a party, she wore a backless dress and it was the most overly stimulating and distracting thing all night but every time people took pictures of her, she would arch backwards so much that her spine just looked like a vertical row of dimples. Even then, you could tell her spine was right there ready to stick out.

I like spines on all shapes and sizes, but like I mentioned in other threads, how my high school crush was kind of thick on the bottom half but had a really visible bumpy spine.

The first time I saw her spine was definitely a surprise.

This girl was no one else's ideal body. She was kind of flat but had wide thick legs.

At a glance, there's no way you would assume her spine would be the kind you can see at all. At least I really didn't at first.

I just thought she was cute at first and figured there's no chance she would really do it for me.

So one day in class, she sits on the floor working on something and I just casually glance over to see what she was doing.

First thing I noticed was how much the bumps on her lower spine were stretching her shirt outward.

I could count each bump and this was through the back of a white shirt that was tight on her back.

It was like this pic I posted in another thread:

She had such a deep slouch too, much deeper than even in that pic.
So the spine really curved out at the bottom. So much that it crossed my mind if it hurt at all. Then I thought, that's probably not a thing.

But another day, before class, she took a seat in front of me, slouching as always at first. Of course, whether on purpose or not, I stole a few glances at that spine.
All of a sudden, she sits straight up and arches her back backwards and starts pressing on her lower back with her own hands and says "I have such bad posture" and says her back hurts.

Sadly I never took the chance back then but other guys she dated did sometimes give her back massages and probably didn't even like feeling her spine. Or maybe some did, who knows.

Anyways that girl's sister also drew a lot of attention to her spine in front of other people too. She never wore anything that showed her lower back.

A few years later, I dated a girl with a similar body and also had a really nice spine. I really like when it's not expected especially when the rest of the back is kind of soft and not as bony but the spine really shows like that.

Though I hooked up with a girl later who fit that description but I found that when I touched her back, her ribs were also much more bony to the touch than it looked.

Yeah this can be really hit or miss.
My friend introduced me to a girl who's played a lot of sports all her life and seemed to have more tight lean muscle all over, but she likes posting pictures of her legs looking extremely thin with thigh gap and all. Only time she ever shows her back, though, she always arches back a lot so you don't see any spine.

First day we met, she shows up in a long shirt that just looks like she's wearing no pants at all.
This girl really likes showing off her unusually skinny legs.

She even likes posting pics with her much bigger friend who makes her look even thinner by contrast.

But first time I saw her bend over to get something, all I see is those muscles on the sides of her spine. Where her spine should stick out is just a really deep gap. This was under her clothes but still kind of disappointing.

Later on, she does the cuddle up thing so even if it wasn't one of us, it just made sense to casually rub her back a little...

Well, I could feel every bone in this girl's back, and when I got to the spine, it did sink in between the muscles on the sides but you could feel every single bump.

She immediately recoils like I touched something sore, and arches her back like she was hiding her spine. But instinctively, I kind of kept my hand there and even in that position, even though it goes so deep between the muscles, you can definitely still feel every bump even through her shirt.

She goes off on this whole thing about how she tries to train her back more but her bigger friend always tells her that her back still "looks so anorexic"... and she said this apologetically like she thought my shock was me being disgusted at feeling all her back bones.

It was the first time I tried to explain this fetish and having it taken as if I was just making some crazy story up to try to make her feel better... After explaining it more, she still kind of insisted it was not an attractive feature of hers.

Honestly she did have lean muscle in places but it wasn't wrong that her back was ridiculously bony even though the muscles stuck out like that when she bent over. That spine though...
